Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The Turkestan 1000 MW Combined-Cycle Gas Power Plant is one of Kazakhstan’s largest ongoing power generation projects, aimed at strengthening the energy security of the southern regions. The project involves the construction of a modern combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) facility with a total installed capacity of approximately 1,000 MW.

The project involves the construction of a large‑scale gold ore processing plant with an annual capacity of 800 000 tonnes of ore to recover gold in the Bayanaul District of Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan. The initiative is anticipated to support local economic development through industrial processing of gold‑bearing ore, boosting regional investment and creating employment opportunities.

This project involves the establishment of a joint venture to assemble heavy trucks and specialized vehicles under the Chinese brand HOWO on the territory of Saran Machinery in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. The initiative is implemented through strategic cooperation between China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Sinotruk) and Saran Machinery LLP, with strong involvement from Kazakhstan’s government and local authorities.

The Orzax project involves constructing a greenfield food supplements manufacturing facility in the Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan. It is backed by a €25 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and represents the first international production base for Orzax outside Turkey, established through its local subsidiary, Orzax Central Asia LLP. Total estimated project cost is €35 million.
