Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The Central Mukur project is a planned gold mining and processing development in Abay Region, Kazakhstan. The project is being advanced by Nordgold EK LLP, which is the subsoil user and initiator of the environmental procedures for the site. The project covers the industrial open-pit development of oxidized gold-bearing ores at the Central Mukur deposit.

The project is a proposed large-scale AI data center cluster in Kazakhstan with a potential total capacity of up to 1 GW. It was discussed on 23 June 2026 during a meeting between Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Dr. Chenhong Huang, Chairman and CEO of SuperX AI Technology Limited.

The project involves the planned construction of a small industrial plant for the production of feed additives and mineral fertilizers in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. The proposed facility is planned by LLP "QazTurk Minerals", a Kazakhstan-based fertilizer producer registered in Shymkent. According to the environmental application, the project site is located in the Ontustik Special Economic Zone in the Enbekshi District of Shymkent.

The project concerns the planned expansion of the existing Green Capital Kazakhstan high-tech greenhouse complex in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. The operating greenhouse has been active since 2017 and was developed with the participation of the Dutch company FoodVentures and the Kazakhstan–Hungarian Direct Investment Fund. The existing facility has 10 hectares of commissioned greenhouse area and employs more than 170 people.

The project involves the planned development of a large gas-fired power generation facility in Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan, with Chinese investment participation. Atyrau Region Akimat identifies Hualin Energy LTD as the project initiator and describes the facility as a gas-turbine power plant planned for phased implementation.

Saya Park is a planned large-scale shopping and entertainment center in the Altyn Orda microdistrict of Aktobe, Kazakhstan. The project is positioned as part of a new business, cultural and public activity zone being formed in this part of the city. 6-hectare land plot.

The project concerns the planned construction of a 250 MW wind power plant with an energy storage system in Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan. The project was publicly discussed during a meeting between Askhat Shakharov, Akim of Aktobe Region, and senior representatives of Envision Energy, led by Wei Wei, Senior Vice President of Envision Energy and Chairman of the Board for the Western Region.

The project involves the development of a large mixed-use residential and social complex in Qonaev, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan. It combines residential construction with facilities intended to expand access to rehabilitation, healthcare, education and family support services. The officially announced development site covers approximately 30 hectares.

The project is a proposed utility-scale clean-energy development intended to supply electricity continuously, 24 hours per day, to data centres and artificial-intelligence infrastructure in Kazakhstan. Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development signed a roadmap agreement for the initiative on 29 June 2026.
