Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The initiative concerns the potential construction of a sustainable aviation fuel facility in Kazakhstan using EcoCeres technologies. It was publicly discussed during government meetings held on 8–9 July 2026 with representatives of Full Vision Capital, Towngas and EcoCeres. The proposed feedstock base may include non-food technical oilseed crops grown in Kazakhstan.

POSEYDON LLP is developing a specialized plant for the production of extruded aquaculture feed in the Tselinograd District of Kazakhstan's Akmola Region. The Ministry of Agriculture describes it as Kazakhstan's first domestic facility focused on high-technology extruded feed for commercially valuable fish species. The latest official design capacity is 25,000 tonnes of finished feed per year.

The project concerns the proposed construction of Kazakhstan's fourth large-scale oil refinery. The planned greenfield facility is expected to process up to 10 million tonnes of crude oil per year. The Government views the refinery as a strategic project intended to strengthen domestic fuel security and increase Kazakhstan's total refining capacity to approximately 40 million tonnes per year by 2033.

Kubley LLP is implementing an investment project to expand its vertically integrated livestock and meat processing operations in the West Kazakhstan Region. The project involves the construction of a new cattle feedlot with a planned capacity of 10,000-20,000 head and the development of an irrigated feed production base to supply livestock with home-grown fodder.

The project covers the construction of additional gas-fired combined-cycle generation capacity at the Karabatan industrial site in Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan. The facility is intended to supply electricity to the expanding oil, gas and petrochemical cluster within the National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark Special Economic Zone. , Ltd.

The project is a proposed utility-scale wind power plant with an installed capacity of 1 GW in the Zhetysu Region of Kazakhstan. On 15 July 2026, Samruk-Kazyna announced that Samruk-Energy JSC and SANY Renewable Energy had signed a shareholders' agreement for the project. The public announcement confirms the parties, region and capacity, but the agreement itself and the parties' equity interests have not been published.

The project involves the planned establishment of a metallic rhenium production facility in Saran, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. The planned output is metallic rhenium recovered from secondary rhenium-bearing raw materials. Its stated purpose is to expand high-value processing, introduce advanced industrial technologies and increase Kazakhstan's exports of critical-mineral products.
