Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The BBS‑2 is a strategic major gas infrastructure project in Kazakhstan aimed at expanding the country’s gas transportation network and increasing throughput capacity of the existing Beineu‑Bozoy‑Shymkent pipeline. It will supply natural gas to southern, central, and northern regions of Kazakhstan, underpinning domestic energy security and supporting regional gasification programs.

The project involves pilot development of the Karagan oil field in the Zhylyoi district of Atyrau Region, near the Tengiz field. The program includes reactivation of previously suspended wells and drilling of additional production and appraisal wells to evaluate and optimize extraction of oil and gas resources.

The project involves the construction of a major agro-industrial complex focused on the deep processing of wheat in the Arshalyn district of the Akmola region, Kazakhstan. The plant will initially process 1 million tons of wheat annually, with future expansion plans increasing this capacity to 3 million tons per year.

This project entails building a modular small-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Rudny (Kostanay Region, Kazakhstan) to produce 50,000 tons/year of LNG. The plant will use ~69 million m³/year of natural gas feed to supply domestic industry and potentially export markets. ) to liquefy pipeline gas into LNG.

The Qazaq Soda project involves the construction of the first large-scale soda ash (sodium carbonate) production plant in Kazakhstan. The facility is being developed to reduce the country’s dependence on imported soda ash and to establish Kazakhstan as a regional supplier for Central Asia and CIS markets.

This project involves the construction of a full-cycle tomato paste production plant and a large-scale greenhouse complex in the Zhanakorgan District of Kyzylorda Oblast, approximately 70 km from Turkestan. The facility will produce 20,102 tonnes of tomato paste annually upon reaching full design capacity by 2027.

Capital Projects Ltd, a subsidiary of the Shanyrak Group, is initiating the construction of Kazakhstan's first advanced egg processing facility. The plant will specialize in producing pasteurized liquid and dried egg products with extended shelf life and enhanced quality. The facility is designed to process up to 1 million eggs daily.

The project involves constructing a high‑tech chemical plant to produce 25,000 tonnes per year of sodium cyanide (NaCN), a critical reagent for the gold-mining industry. The plant aims to replace imports and strengthen Kazakhstan’s technological and economic independence in chemical production.
