Investment projects in Kazakhstan

Construction of a new generation electrometallurgical plant is being implemented by Railways Systems KZ LLP, a leading member of Kazakhstan's railway engineering cluster. The enterprise will be located on an area of 100 hectares. Total investments will amount to about 500 billion tenge, capacity - 1 million tons of steel per year.

The Severny-2 site, located in the Ustyurt-Bozashinskoe sedimentary basin of Kazakhstan, is part of a gas exploration project. The site is known for its potential to discover natural gas and gas condensate fields. The project aims to conduct seismic exploration (2D and 3D) and drill both independent and dependent wells.

The Zhylyoy Hydrocarbon Exploration Project is a strategic offshore initiative in the northeastern part of the Caspian Sea, executed as a joint venture between KazMunayGas and CNOOC Hong Kong Holding Limited. On June 24, 2025, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, KMG, and CNOOC signed a contract for exploration and extraction in this transit zone. The project area spans approximately 958 km² and targets complex geological structures.

The Rozhkovskoye gas condensate field, located in the Bayterek District of West Kazakhstan Region, was discovered in 2008. 5%), a subsidiary of Sinopec. The development aims to extract and process significant reserves of natural gas and condensate to meet domestic energy demands and contribute to regional economic growth.

The project involves the construction of a modern shipyard on the Caspian Sea coast near the port of Kuryk, Mangistau region, Kazakhstan. The shipyard will build and repair various types of vessels, including tankers, dry cargo ships and universal ferries, in order to strengthen Kazakhstan's maritime infrastructure and reduce dependence on foreign vessels.

The Biolife Proprevit project is a large-scale eco-dairy complex under construction in the Koyandy Industrial Zone of Akmola Region, Kazakhstan. The facility will produce functional dairy products, non-alcoholic beverages, fruit purées, soups, and baby food enriched with prebiotics, pectins, and vitamins.

The Indian pharmaceutical company MSN Group is partnering with Kazakhstan’s KFK Medservice Plus LLPto establish a full-cycle pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan. The project involves the construction of a modern plant under the brand MSN Pharmalab, focusing on the production of solid dosage forms, including tablets and capsules.

This project represents a strategic initiative by Turkey’s Çalık Holding, through its mining subsidiary Lidya Mines, to enter Kazakhstan’s mineral resource sector. In June 2025, Lidya Mines and Kazakh Invest held high-level talks aimed at launching geological exploration and mining development projects.

The project involves the large-scale development of a nationwide multimodal logistics and warehousing infrastructure across Kazakhstan. Initiated by Turkish company S Sistem Lojistik, the plan includes the construction of modern logistics hubs and terminal facilities in major cities such as Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, and Aktau, with integration into rail, road, air, and sea transport routes.
