Investment projects in Kazakhstan

This project involves the development of a modern industrial complex for the deep processing of chrome‑bearing raw materials in western Kazakhstan’s Aktobe Region. It is designed to move the local industry beyond raw exports toward high‑value manufacturing by producing fertilizers, chemical products, metallurgical components, and biologically active additives from chromite feedstock.

The VOLTREX project is a brownfield greenfield industrial facility under construction to produce a full range of motor, industrial, and technical lubricating oils under the VOLTREX brand. The plant is being developed as part of import‑substitution efforts and export‑oriented industrial expansion in Kazakhstan, aiming to reduce dependence on imported lubricants and improve logistics for domestic consumption.

The Zhaik Petroleum Gas Chemical Complex is an industrial project focused on the production of methanol from natural gas in Western Kazakhstan. The plant is designed with an annual production capacity of approximately 130,000 tons of methanol, positioning it as the first large-scale methanol production facility in the country.

The project involves the construction of a large integrated ammonia–urea and nitrogen fertilizer complex in Aktau, Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan. It is officially positioned as the first urea production plant in Kazakhstan, as urea is currently not produced domestically and is imported from neighbouring countries.

The project involves the construction of a large-scale logistics complex as part of the integrated polyethylene plant being developed by Silleno LLP in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan. The facility will serve as a critical infrastructure component designed to manage the handling, packaging, storage, and distribution of polyethylene pellets produced by the plant.

The project represents a combined modernization initiative at the Atyrau Oil Refinery aimed at improving operational efficiency, environmental performance, and measurement accuracy across key refinery systems. It includes the construction of a gas compression unit for capturing and processing off-gases from primary refining units (ELOU-AT-2, ELOU-AVT-3, and delayed coking unit UZK).

5 million tons per year to 9 million tons per year. It forms part of Kazakhstan’s national strategy to modernize its major oil refineries and strengthen domestic fuel supply security. A key objective of the project is to achieve Euro-5 fuel quality standards through deep upgrading and modernization of refining units.

The project covers the second-stage infrastructure development of the Special Economic Zone “National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark” in the Karabatan area of Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan. Its main purpose is to provide the engineering and utility backbone required for the future Butadiene and Polyethylene projects.

The initiative concerns the potential construction of a sustainable aviation fuel facility in Kazakhstan using EcoCeres technologies. It was publicly discussed during government meetings held on 8–9 July 2026 with representatives of Full Vision Capital, Towngas and EcoCeres. The proposed feedstock base may include non-food technical oilseed crops grown in Kazakhstan.
