Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The project involves the large-scale development of a nationwide multimodal logistics and warehousing infrastructure across Kazakhstan. Initiated by Turkish company S Sistem Lojistik, the plan includes the construction of modern logistics hubs and terminal facilities in major cities such as Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, and Aktau, with integration into rail, road, air, and sea transport routes.

The Tobyl Transport and Logistics Complex (TLC Tobyl) is the first large-scale dry port infrastructure project in Northern Kazakhstan, launched in the city of Tobyl (Kostanay Region). 6 hectares and a handling capacity of up to 400,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) per year, which is more than 11 million tons of cargo. The project represents a transformative national logistics initiative.

According to the Ministry of Transport, an investor from the UAE is implementing a large-scale program to modernize Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana. 5 km long, a third passenger terminal (T3), as well as a modern cargo terminal for efficient processing and transshipment of cargo.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration and YTO Express Group, one of China's leading logistics companies, have reached an agreement to create the largest logistics hub for e-commerce in Central Asia. This hub will ensure prompt processing of goods and their delivery to the EU, EAEU and Central Asian countries.

The Darbaza-Maktaaral railway line is a large-scale infrastructure project implemented on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to improve transport connectivity between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. With a length of 152 km, the line will directly connect Yerdaut and Zhetysai stations with the state border, bypassing the territory of Uzbekistan.

The project involves the creation of a modern transport and logistics hub at Aktobe International Airport as part of a strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey. The new complex will provide cargo handling and storage services, as well as a full range of freight forwarding services. The warehouse will have an area of approximately 15,000 m².

Construction of the Jet A-1 aviation fuel terminal, the first facility of its kind in Kazakhstan, has begun at Karaganda's Sary-Arka Airport. Accordingto Olga Baskakova, director of Turlov Private Holding and a memberof the airport's board of directors, the need for construction is dictated by the long-term demand for Jet A-1 in Kazakhstan, as thereis still no complex in the country for refueling or storing this typeof fuel.

The Center–West Corridor is a strategically important highway project in Kazakhstan designed to connect the central regions with the western regions, improving domestic and international transport links. The route spans approximately 865 km, significantly shortening travel distances—by about 573 km—between Astana and Irgyz compared to existing roads.

Aviation stakeholders SCAT Airlines and Boeing have initiated construction of what is projected to become Central Asia’s largest aircraft maintenance and overhaul facility in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. The full‑cycle MRO complex is designed to service Boeing aircraft families including 737 Classic/NG/MAX, 757, 767 and potentially wide‑body 777 aircraft.
