Investment projects in Kazakhstan

The Lasselsberger Group, a leading Austrian manufacturer of raw materials, construction materials, and ceramic coatings, is investing in the construction of a plant dedicated to producing dry building mixtures, construction adhesives, and ceramic tiles in Astana, Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to bolster local production, reduce import dependence, and meet the growing demand in the construction sector.

AsiaChem LLP is developing an ammonium phosphate (ammophos) production plant in the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan. The facility is designed to produce 150,000 tons of ammophos annually, supporting both domestic agricultural demand and regional exports. The project contributes to Kazakhstan's strategic goal of developing its agrochemical sector and reducing reliance on imported fertilizers.

The construction of a full-cycle automotive plant for Kia vehicles in Kostanay, Kazakhstan, led by Allur Group, the country's largest automaker. The facility will produce up to 70,000 Kia vehicles annually, supporting Kazakhstan's growing automotive industry.

The Qazaq Soda project involves the construction of the first large-scale soda ash (sodium carbonate) production plant in Kazakhstan. The facility is being developed to reduce the country’s dependence on imported soda ash and to establish Kazakhstan as a regional supplier for Central Asia and CIS markets.

The project involves constructing a high‑tech chemical plant to produce 25,000 tonnes per year of sodium cyanide (NaCN), a critical reagent for the gold-mining industry. The plant aims to replace imports and strengthen Kazakhstan’s technological and economic independence in chemical production.

The Taiqonyr Qyshqyl Zauyty project aims to construct a large-scale sulfuric acid production facility in the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan. The plant is designed to produce up to 800,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid annually, supporting the uranium mining sector by ensuring stable and cost-effective access to a critical reagent.

The International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” is a major joint initiative between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, located on the border near the Atameken–Gulistan checkpoint in Turkistan Region. The center spans 100 hectares, with 50 hectares on each side of the border, and aims to establish a cross-border industrial and logistics hub.
