About this project
The Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar project is a joint offshore oil and gas development initiative in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. 5 million tonnes of oil and 19 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The project encompasses the construction of two ice-resistant fixed offshore platforms, a coastal processing facility, subsea pipelines, and associated infrastructure.

Its main purpose is to treat “dry gas” produced at Tengiz, extracting valuable hydrocarbon fractions — primarily ethane and propane — from the gas stream. 6 million tonnes of ethane and up to 360,000 tonnes of propane per year.
