About this project
The official start of work on the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the history of Kazakhstan took place near the village of Ulken in the Almaty region. The event was attended by Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation, Almasadam Satkaliyev, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Marat Sultangaziev, Akim of the Almaty region.
